Bone Density Software-Upgrade for any X-ray Imaging Device
Delivering a second billable function within the same hardware footprint through a simple software upgrade.
$99 Cash-Pay
Instant bone density report delivered before the patient leaves the room. Cash-pay at the point of use, meaning no coding risk, prior authorisations or reimbursement processing delays.
Risk free financial model with no Provider Fees - billed via pay-per-use or tiered volume pricing models.
Bone Health Vital-Sign
- Low bone density at the wrist is an independant predictor of central osteoporosis, fracture risk and predisposing conditions.
- Returns aBMD and T-score, the same biomarkers as DXA.
- Non-inferior to DXA the wrist.

The Patient Story

Simple Integration
Workflow Integration & Output
The software upgrade is delivered in partnership with your X-ray modality provider. CorteX uses a standard wrist exposure, meaning minimal user training or custom radiation dose considerations.
Standard Wrist Exposure
No changes to hardware or imaging geometry and negligable impact on gantry time.
Onboard Bone Health Processing
CorteX automatically analyses the image onboard the X-ray modality - no user intervention required and no data ever leaves your facility.
Interpretation and Follow Up
Results are provided onscreen and sent to the hospital patient information system. CorteX outputs the same recognised clinical biomarkers as DXA, with a low T-score at the wrist being a predictor of fracture risk and Osteoporosis at the hip and spine.

Patients Told Us
“I would just like to say I love this idea so very much. Many people are underinformed and don't know anything about how important bone health is.”

Bone Density Vital-Sign
Wrist bone density is a vital-sign that can identify patients at risk of chronic bone conditions and their underlying causes early, allowing them to receive the follow up that they need.
More Sensitive than Fracture Liaison (FLS)
In pilot at Royal Cornwall Trust (UK), patients presenting without a fracture were 1.45x more likely to be diagnosed with Osteoporosis pre-fracture,
than those referred into Fracture Liaison Services post-fracture.
Individuals aged 50+ presenting without a fracture with a T-score of -3 or lower as determined by Cortex (NIHR Number NIHR207830).
Significant Independent Risk Factor
Wrist BMD is a significant, independent predictor of hip and major Osteoporotic fracture, particularly in younger women.
One standard deviation change in wrist BMD increases a 40 year old woman's relative risk of a Major Osteoporotic Fracture by 3.29x.
Validated on an international basis by FRAX. Forearm BMD predicts fracture independently of a FRAX metric matrix loop
Secondary Cause Prevalence
Over half of pre-menopausal Osteoporosis is secondary Osteoporosis with a predisposing underlying cause.
Complications are frequently tied to diabetes, hyperparathyroidism, celiac disease, or systemic impacts from targeted GLP-1 and chronic glucocorticoid therapies.

About
CorteX is Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) developed by IBEX Innovations Ltd. (UK) and is based on a proprietary physics-based causal AI method.
The software has been shown to be non-inferior to DXA, providing the same biomarkers of aBMD and T-score at up to 15x the resolution. The assessment is delivered from a standard wrist exposure.
Protected by 20+ global patents, backed by peer reviewed publications and in clinical use within the NHS.
